It's challenging and I enjoy it well enough, but I spend most of my time in competitive multiplayer. In this sense, I'm not the best to judge this year's entry. For whatever reason, Zombie co-op just never captures my interest much. I'll be honest, this is not a mode I play much. I hope that Sledgehammer will release new ones that aren't part of the Season Pass.įinally, Nazi Zombies makes for a fun co-op adventure with all the challenge we've grown accustomed to over the years. War Mode only has three maps at this point, and that's by far its biggest drawback. I enjoy the special bonus map, Carentan, as well as Sainte Marie du Mont, Flak Tower and others quite a lot. There's a great deal of map variety for the regular modes, and while I'm not in love with all the maps (Gibraltor rubs me the wrong way, and Point Du Hoc is perhaps the worst Dom map imaginable) many others are terrific and well-balanced. Many of the basic CoD modes return to World War II, from Domination to Hardpoint to Team Death Match, but I mostly play Domination or War with some Capture the Flag and various other modes mixed in, usually just to complete Daily Orders.
